GREETINGS FROM THE SKY

The Greetings from the Sky is based on interactive light installation The UnfetteredLanguage of Machinesthatmadein2015.

The work is located on the center of square Shenyang New World Expo which is the landmark building in Shenyang, it is nested from 5 LED cube frameworks. The total length of the LED strips is 168 meters, including 22848 LEDs. The outside of the work is the glass cube, the huge glass box reflects the animated scenes when the lighting is running, it makes the work form the infinite nested multiple spatial effects, it forms a mathematical logic, and engenders a machine aesthetics in the public space.

The mini cube interactive platform is the part of the outdoor interactive art work, it located on the third floor of the indoor space. The heartbeat data of the participants are collected and transmitted to the large cube device outside. Participants watched their own vital signs intervenes the operation of mechanical light. The heartbeat frequency maps in space and vision, the light of the machine pulsate with the light of the heart of the participant, artificial life and natural life are linked at this moment.

Greetings from the Sky is part of the permanent collection of K11 in New World Expo, Shenyang.
